Bird Watching and Childrens Museum

The Sandhill Cranes have been migrating through Nebraska from Texas and Mexico. They spend their nights in the Platte River and their days in the corn fields fattening up before they head further north to Northern Canada, Alaska, and Siberia. We wanted to check them out before they all left. We stopped at the Fort Kearney State Park to get some information and check that out. We were hoping to see some of the birds crazy dance that they do, but unfortunately we just were not patient enough. We did get to check it out on youtube though so that was good enough for the girls.
After our bird watching we headed to the Kearney Children's Museum. The girls had been there before with a friend and we very excited to show me around. It was the same price as Deanna's playhouse only better, and geared for a little older age group. They had this awesome water table that the girls could play with. You could put these "pieces" in and change the water flow. We made a few different mazes and then floated boats through them. It was really cool!
The girls had fun with the climbing wall and playing 4 square.
Their favorite was the store, as usual they found some friends to play with too.
