Michigan Weekend

We had a great Michigan weekend, the only thing that would have made it better would have been Eric being here with us. We miss him so very much and can't wait until we are together again. But....if we are going to be here in this beautiful state with this beautiful weather, we are going to enjoy it, and we did.

Friday afternoon we went to the beach and to visit great grandpa and grandma Top with the Bosch girls. The girls spent the whole time out in the water and I forgot to get the camera out, opps. At night we went to South Haven to visit grandpa and grandma and spend the night on the boat. Saturday's weather started out a little iffy but we still had fun going to art and the park, and playing spoons on the boat. Finally, later on in the day it cleared up and we went to the beach with grandma. The waves were pretty big and the girls loved jumping in them and them diving into them. We saw a little bit of a parade, rode a ride, went on inflatables, saw a magic show, had ice cream and went to the park. We had a great time, thanks grandpa and grandma!

First Day of School

Karinda started her first day of 2nd grade and Kylie her first day of Kindergarten today. They were both excited to go back but I would not have said they were bored and ready. I wasn't so sure how well the morning was going to go because we were used to a different time zone and not used to early mornings. We woke up to thunder which was a blessing because I didn't need to wake either of them up.

The girls had a great day at school and are both excited to head back tomorrow!

Home

We are home, home meaning Michigan, for a few weeks. We traveled on Sunday and once again the girls did awesome, we are very blessed to have such good travelers. As I was driving I thought of all these things I would put in the blog, and now....can't think of any of them. Well the only fun facts I can think of are there is no stop light in the entire Furnas County, and the farmers in Nebraska don't live on their farms they live in town and they drive to them everyday like anyone else driving to work.

The house is coming along but is not really ready for us not live in yet. Hopefully when we get back there will just be painting to do and hopefully I can do that really fast. I did paint the very high ceiling in the family room. I hate heights but Chris (the guy helping me) said he was going to get me over my fear of heights and he would help me. He didn't end of helping me but I got almost the whole thing done and then Eric finished what I couldn't reach. Yea I know, Eric painted, even harder to believe than the fact that I was up that high. The picture doesn't begin to show how high it was, it was really high, and I was really not liking it, but it looks good!

Busy Week

Wow this week has flown. We have had a good week, but a busy one. The church we have been going to had VBS this week. They did Sunday through Thursday from 4-6:00. There was maybe 20 kids there so I wasn't sure how the girls would like it but they loved it. About half way through the week Karinda looked at me and said, "mom I think they Bible School in Zeeland made a lot more progress don't you think?" I said "no God doesn't really care about numbers so I don't think so." Then she proceeded to say "mom, what does progress mean anyway?"

So our days have been go to the house in the morning, usually with their friend Elaine, (who sadly went home yesterday, she was only staying with her grandparents.) Then home for lunch and then bring them to the pool and I would go back to the house, pick them up at 3:30 get them ready for VBS, head back to the house. Pick them up at 6:00 feed them supper and then head back to the house to do some more painting. Eric has been great and takes them home to put them to bed and I stay and paint until the wee hours of the morning.

Cliff and Karen arrived on Wednesday and that was really nice to have them here. The girls loved showing them Cambridge and how they are swimming in the pool and all kinds of stuff. We got a lot of painting done and figured out all the changes we are going to make with the house. We are going to change all the things I would if I was calling the shots and then some. Eric is freaking out and I am quite pleased. There is no way it will be done by the time I have to leave next Sunday, but we will just have to figure something out.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures this time. my camera is up at the house and the girls are waiting to go to the pool. I will have lots when I get home, have internet at home and can sit on my own couch to do it.
